Strip BlackJack is blackjack with pictures and sounds and a multitude of other cool things. To run Strip BlackJack you need at least 500k of memory, another MB or so will make it actually worthwhile playing. Note that no naughty pictures are included, you must get these yourself ( in PICT format ) - instructions on how to install these pictures are within the included documentation.
Strip BlackJack is shareware. What this means is that you are free to download it and use it, but, if you like it, you are obliged to send a small fee to the author. Just to thank them for the work they’ve put in. The small fee I’m asking for is $10, preferably in Australian currency - me being Australian. If $10 isn’t small enough for you, send whatever you think Strip BlackJack is worth. If $10 isn’t large enough for you, you are very, very welcome to send more.
Support shareware and shareware supports you. Paying the small fee encourages authors of shareware to come up with new titles and to support their old ones. We’d all tire very quickly of having to pay $100 or so for games from computer stores that we don’t get a chance to try out first.

until I leave university late 1997, then who knows ? I’m not too keen on actually _paying_ to have access to the Internet.
Files that you should have :
• Read Me First - a sort of hello, give me money, thank you kind of thing
• How to Play Blackjack - instructions on how to play the card game Blackjack.
Mostly general information, but does include some game-specific stuff to
illustrate examples.
• How to Use Strip BlackJack - tells you all the game specific stuff that wasn't
included, or expands upon that which was, in "How to Play BlackJack".
You should read the docs in the order listed above.
• Initial Pictures - this is a folder that contains the initial pictures that came with
Strip BlackJack. If you have changed the dealer pictures ( explained in future
docs ), I ask you to put the initial pictures back before you pass it along to anyone
else.
• Strip BlackJack - the game itself
Personal thankyou’s go to :
• Paul Metcalf for the opening title and for beta testing
• Owen and Lisa Cox who also beta tested ( sort of )
• Gamma Fade authors. I used the Gamma Fade source code to do all the screen
fading stuff. Gamma Fade is available from info-mac.
• all the people who wrote games I pinched sounds and pictures from :
Dome Wars - the opening title sounds I’m told
Hearts - the shuffling, dealing and a couple of the dealer sounds ( my friends are
too modest to do it )
Egyptian Solitaire - the card pictures
Apeiron - the blackjack sound ( that IS Henry Rollins isn't it ? )
Initial Dealer Pictures - these were from a sample game that a lecturer I had had
I just wanted to make clear that those weren't my creation. I've included them in my game only as an example of what you, the user can do for yourself. You are encouraged to include your own sounds and pictures.
All the other sounds are from sound archives I happened across. I drew the other pictures myself. You might like to try some of those games I mentioned above - I wasn’t really into them but it’s a personal taste thing.
You are welcome to pass this game along to friends, post it to BBSs, ftp archives, whatever.... As I mention in the user documentation you’re free to add or replace the pictures or sounds in the game. All I ask of you when you pass the game along, is to make sure that the pictures are in their original format. They are included with the game in a folder labelled “Initial Pictures”.
Lastly, Strip BlackJack is provided as is, any damage to your software, hardware or data cannot be blamed on the author. You have accepted these conditions if you have played the game, ( naturally you have read the file entitled “Read Me First” - this file, first ).
Thankyou, I hope you enjoy this game. I enjoyed writing it. Well, most of the time anyway.
